SHENZHEN, May 1 (Xinhua) -- The shield machine "Pengcheng No. 1" on the left line of the section between Lishan Station and Lishui Station of Shenzhen Metro Line 27 was successfully launched. The project is constructed by China Railway 25th Bureau Group Co., Ltd.
The rail line, with a total length of approximately 25 kilometers, passes through Nanshan, Longhua and Longgang districts, and includes 21 stations. It connects key areas such as Qianhai, Nanshan Science and Technology Park, Xili High-speed Railway New Town, Longhua Center, and Banxuegang Science and Technology City, serving as a backbone rail transit line supporting the expansion of Shenzhen's urban core area.
According to the project team, the entire line plans to build seven prefabricated stations. Lishan Station, where the shield machine was launched, is the first fully prefabricated station on the line to begin main structure assembly. Adopting a "prefabricated plus cast-in-place rectangular frame structure," the station assembles 331 prefabricated components in a "building block" modular fashion. Compared with traditional construction methods, this approach shortens the construction period by more than 30 percent and reduces dust pollution by 70 percent.
The left-line section launched on Wednesday is approximately 1,652.65 meters long, with complex geological conditions posing significant construction difficulties. The project team carried out comprehensive surveys using multiple methods to accurately determine the distribution of boulders and the characteristics of hard rock. They also strictly controlled surface settlement through refined management of excavation speed and real-time monitoring of strata changes.
Once the first phase of Shenzhen Metro Line 27 is completed, it will effectively ease cross-regional traffic pressure, improve commuting efficiency for residents, further optimize the urban rail transit network layout, and inject strong momentum into the construction of the "railway-based Greater Bay Area."
